Book Expo America at Javits Center in NY

I got to enjoy an afternoon at Book Expo America on Wed. May 25th, and signed copies of “A Sweater For Duncan” along with Author Margaret Malone. The line of people waiting for signed books was amazing! Thank you to all those who waited in long lines to get their signed copy of Duncan and say “Hi” to Margie and me!

 

Since Publisher Raven Tree Press experienced roof damage during storms several weeks ago that damaged their BEA display booth and inventory, they were not able to exhibit this year.  The wonderful people at BEA arranged things so that several of RTP authors and illustrators could still attend BEA and sign books in the Author’s Autographing area.  It was a great experience!  Thank you to BEA and RTP for making all of this happen!  I look forward to next year’s show when my new book, “The Rain Forest Party” will be released.

Visiting & Reading with the Kids…

I am enjoying meeting so many great kids who are having fun reading about Duncan.  I recently visited with the children from the book club at St. Rose Grammer School in Belmar.  Thank you for such a warm welcome!

I also had the pleasure of visiting Veteran’s Memorial Elementary School for 3 assemblies which allowed me to visit with the entire school of grades 1 through 5.  Thank you VMES for your kind hospitality and warm welcome.  I enjoyed sharing my passion with the children.  I had a great time and I look forward to the next visit after my book, ”The Rain Forest Party” is released this Sept. 2011.
